American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She began her acting career as a supporting actress in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). In the following years, she played the role of reporter Willa McPherson in FX's show Dirt. She also had an appearance in FX's short-lived show The Ex List. In the initial season, she starred in the role of Moira O'Hara in the role of a young Moira and in the second season, she was Kaylee. She portrayed Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voices a number of characters in the animated comedy show Family Guy. Since 2019she has been on the show as Melinda "Mel" Monroe as a character in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother when she was of 10. The family moved around for one year before eventually moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to take an interest in acting, singing, and photography when she was 13. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother at age 15 to pursue an acting career.
