Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television host in America and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Her signature spiky blonde hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals simple, easy-to-learn techniques for home cooks on her Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also explored Italy's cuisine and the culture of Italy, as well as the geography. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. After obtaining an English and Communication diploma at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her passion for the business of restaurant by enroling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. I loved every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one period of time in Italy attending Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. When she was in Italy the chef gained an appreciation and understanding of Italian cuisine. It had a significant influence on her perception of food. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten children's lives who are facing difficulties. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. She is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and travels throughout the United States in her mentorship task. Anne said she felt lucky to be able to communicate her love of cooking to the people around her.
